Jackie Cannizzo
PGA Golf Professional Jackie holds a degree in Communications from the University of North Carolina-Wilmington where she attended on a golf scholarship. She played golf professionally on the both the Futures Tour and the European Women’s Tour prior to becoming a PGA member in 1989. She joined our staff in 1996. Since then she has built our Junior Golf Program into what has become the model for many other private Country Clubs in the Metro Atlanta area. She is also a very accomplished teacher and was named one of the top ten golf instructors in the State of Georgia by Golf Digest Magazine and was named one of the top fifty teachers for juniors in the United States by US Kids Golf. She is a Past President of the Georgia Junior Golf Foundation and also served on the Susan G. Komen Board of Directors. Jackie also holds the distinction of being the first member of the Professional Golfers Association of America to compete in the USGA’s United States Women’s Open Championship. Jackie was recognized by her peers when she was named as the Assistant Professional of the Year and Junior Golf Leader by the North Chapter of the Georgia PGA. She was also named the Georgia Section PGA’s Junior Golf Leader in 2004.
